Sri Ramkrishna Ashram, Nimpith

Sri Ramkrishna Ashram, Nimpith (SRAN) was founded by revered Swami Buddhanandaji. He said in his speech in 1980, "Penniless, but with a burning and pioneering zeal I plunged myself headlong into the solemn 

and supreme task of bettering the lot of the down-trodden people with the aid and co-operation of devoted and selfless band of workers".Through his efforts "Ramkrishna Ashram Krishi Vigyan Kendra (RAKVK)"

 -  a project of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi was established in 1979.  Late Jyotirmoy Basu, the then M.P.,  the  first Training Organizer late  Dr. Kanai Lal Bandopadhyay

and eminent scientist Dr. M. S. Swaminathan, by whose pioneering zeal this RAKVK owes its origin and growth. Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Krishi Bhavan, New Delhi, sanctioned Rs.20.00 lakh for

KVK project. The foundation stone was laid by Shri Morarjibhai Desai, the then Prime Minister of India, on 28.05.1979. KVK Administrative Building was opened by Mr. M. Hidayatullah, the then Vice-President of India,

on 06.02.1983.
